The advent of the smart home has led to a few exciting developments. With the addition of a few sensors, your home can almost look after itself, turning lights on and off, controlling appliances and making sure your home is heated to just the right temperature when you get home. And at this year’s CES in Las Vegas, there were plenty of new smart home gadgets on display.

SwitchBot unveiled its newest hub, now with Matter support, which is intended to be the new standard for smart homes to enable all your devices to talk to each other. The SwitchBot Hub 2 is a wifi-based Matter hub that brings Matter compatibility to its Bluetooth smart home products. Connect the hub to the Bluetooth devices, and you can control them through Apple Home or other platforms. The new hub will arrive in late February, with the SwitchBot Curtain first to support Matter.
