Wicklow 3-7 Waterford 0-6: Three well-taken goals by Wicklow, two of them in the first half with the aid of the wind, saw off Waterford at Arklow yesterday and gave the home side their first league points

The first goal came after 12 minute when Jonathan Daniels slipped his marker before blasting to the net from close range.

The second, on 20 minutes, was finished by Leighton Glynn.

Six minutes later Waterford's Karl O'Keeffe was sent off on a second yellow.

Wicklow sealed the win in the 25th minute of the second half when Wayne O'Gorman netted before they too were reduced to 14, Jonathan Daniels getting a second yellow.
