CHRISTY RING CUP - Wicklow 1-18 Westmeath 1-15:DESPITE A slow start, Wicklow won a keenly contested game in Arklow on Saturday.
Wicklow's Jonathan O'Neill played a big part in his team's win, contributing nine points.
It was a goal by Seánie Kinsella just before half-time that set Wicklow up for their victory and gave them a 1-9 to 0-9 lead.
They were five points to the good on 63 minutes when Leo Smith lashed home Westmeath's goal to narrow the gap, but Wicklow held on for victory.
