BASKETBALL/Round-Up: Few Waterford victories are likely to prove more crucial this season than yesterday's 94-91 win over Killarney. With their Superleague ambitions under threat in recent weeks it was a game they simply couldn't afford to lose.

Killarney, though, didn't make it easy and led up until the final minute. Mike Keohane then edged Waterford in front 91-89, and a final three-pointer by John Singleton secured the points.

It restores Waterford's four-point advantage on the table, but there has been some reshuffling behind them. Limerick fell to Neptune 74-70 and are now part of a three-way tie for second with Tralee and Killester.

Saturday's 80-75 win over the Demons gave Tralee's hopes of the title a major boost.

The women's league is also still wide open following Tolka Rovers' 82-73 win over the Wildcats. It leaves both clubs level on 22 points with one game each left.
