Victory Craft good enough

RACING : The going forecast for Down Royal tonight is a surprising "good to firm" but that hasn't stopped ground problems.

False patches on the sprint trick means no five furlong races today or tomorrow but the mile and a quarter handicap has been divided to make a seven race card.

Victory Craft was a distant runner-up to Nick The Butler at Leopardstown but might be good enough for the first part of the 0-60 race. In the second part, Bahao sneaks into the bottom of the handicap and although trounced by the good thing Tupgill Tipple at Ballinrobe, he could be an each-way option here.

Mullahoran and African Waters could dominate the finish of the maiden hurdle and Paul Carberry's mount, fourth at Tralee to Hayley Cometh, may edge it out.
