All eyes on Valhalla this week, not only because the USPGA is our final double-prize money tournament of the year, but also because only one player from our top ten teams will be in action at the North West of Ireland Open.

Mind you, should Gary Murphy win in Cavan, the £400,000 bonus prize he would collect (for an Irish winner of an Irish tournament) would put the sizzle back in Fionn Murphy's challenge after a disappointing week 24.

If Tiger Woods manages to equal Ben Hogan's achievement of winning three majors in the same year, three of our top ten will, we suspect, chuck the towel in, because the man himself appears in our other seven leading teams.

The only players valued at £4 million or over in our top ten are Woods, Colin Montgomerie and Lee Westwood. Mark Brooks appears in eight, Darren Clarke in seven and Kenny Perry in five.
