Ken Tyrrell has resigned from his Formula One team after a dispute with the outfit's new owners, British American Racing (BAR), over management priorities.
Tyrrell (73), was understood to be far from happy with BAR's choice of driver Brazilian Ricardo Rosset as team-mate to Japanese youngster Toro Takaji for the 1998 season.
He had made it clear he wanted to retain the experienced Dutchman Jos Verstappen for what would be the team's final year in the sport.
