NFL DIVISION THREE Tipperary 2-13 Roscommon 1-10TIPPERARY WENT clear at the top of the table with a deserved victory at Hyde Park yesterday.
Roscommon began superbly. Following points from Karol Mannion and Ger Heneghan, Heneghan pounced for a goal after six minutes. He stretched the lead to six points two minutes later.
Grogan kicked Tipperary’s opening score from a ninth-minute free and within two minutes the visitors were ahead. Christopher Aylward scored a goal and one minute later Brian Mulvihill cut through the Roscommon defence before shooting past Geoffrey Claffey.
Tipperary maintained their one-point lead until half-time and they pulled away in the second-half.
