Tiger Woods is doing quite well. So far this young golfer's tournament winnings since turning professional stand at £16.4 million. Estimated income from endorsements and appearances gives Woods another £95.3 million over the past four years.
Analysts at American sports network ESPN believe that Woods could earn £4 billion if he continued playing the game until the age of 65 - by which stage we may be able to out-drive him.
That figure breaks down into £918 million in prize-money and appearances and £3.1 billion in endorsements. The sponsorship deal with Nike for clothing and balls costs the company £5 million a year and expires next year, just six months after he created history. Great timing.
