Thurles Preview:Templers Hall could be the one to get Ruby Walsh onto the 101 winner mark in Ireland this season when returning to Thurles for the fourth consecutive time this afternoon.
The Willie Mullins-trained horse was a 20 to 1 winner here back in November at two and a quarter miles but looked to run an even better race afterwards when runner-up to Braun Star over today's course and distance of two and three quarters.
A return to the shorter distance before Christmas didn't look to suit Templers Hall who was running on steadily at the finish to be fourth so the longer journey of today's handicap chase should be ideal.
Royal Man's Naas third to Chelsea Harbour reads well now and he looks the biggest danger.
Walsh will also fancy his chances in the maiden hurdle on board the regally-bred, Mullins-trained Ebaziyan whose jumping debut yielded a narrow defeat at Cork recently.
However, Merchent Paddy was a winning bumper favourite here last month and picked up some jumping experience in that very significant maiden hurdle won by De Valira in December.
Mercuric was a long way behind Alexander Taipan at Fairyhouse but it still looked a good enough effort to make him one of the principal contenders for the Beginners Chase while Knock On The Head could be up to recouping some Gowran losses from December in the bumper.
