The Irish Amateur Swimming Association have been contacted officially by FINA , the world ruling swimming body, in relation to Michelle de Bruin and drug testing.

A statement issued last night by the IASA PR0 Peter Brennan and signed by association president Mary O'Malley reads: "Irish Amateur Swimming Association officials have been notified by FINA that the only charge against Michelle de Bruin is one of suspicion of manipulation".
