An explosive opening half hour set up St Mary's CBS, Mullingar for a comprehensive win over Patrician College, Newbridge in Mullingar yesterday in the Leinster Colleges senior football championship.

The game was as good as over at the interval, when St Mary's led by 2-11 to 1-0, with Niall McGurran and Ronan Whelan scoring the winners' goals.
