Martin O'Neill moved to ease the goalkeeper crisis at Villa Park by bringing in Crystal Palace's Gabor Kiraly on an emergency loan deal.

The Hungarian stopper has just returned to Selhurst Park after spending a fortnight on loan with West Ham, providing cover for them in November.

After special dispensation from the Premier League, the 30-year-old will spend an initial month with Aston Villa.

Villa's number two keeper Stuart Taylor who suffered a knee during Monday's 2-2 draw at Sheffield United.

With Thomas Sorensen also sidelined, O'Neill faced giving young Austrian keeper Robert Olejnik his debut for Saturday evening's home encounter with Bolton.

Olejnik has been on the substitute's bench for the past three games.
