Two Liverpool fans were injured when supporters fought over one spare ticket for the Champions League final in Athens.

Both men required hospital treatment after scuffles broke out between supporters desperate to find a ticket for tonight's sold-out clash with AC Milan.

Neither man was seriously injured, although one suffered a blow to the head.

Up to 40,000 Liverpool fans have descended on the Greek capital, despite the club's allocation of just 17,000 in the 63,000 capacity Olympic Stadium.

Police are appealing to fans not to buy tickets from touts as 5,000 counterfeits are in circulation.

Black market tickets are fetching €1500, down from €2500 yesterday.
