Soccer: Carlos Tevez insists any lingering doubts regarding his commitment to Manchester City can be laid to rest.
The Argentinian handed in a transfer request in December, claiming to have grown disillusioned with life at Eastlands and some members of the club's board. He was eventually talked into staying and has been back to his sparkling best over recent weeks
Tevez claims he is now fully focused on his duties with the Blues once more, with any issue he may have had with the club's hierarchy, including boss Robert Mancini, put to one side.
"I am happy now. The issue is in the past," he said. "I had my discrepancies with the boss. But we spoke as two men and everything is solved and I'm very happy."
Tevez has every reason to be in a positive frame of mind right now, with City continuing to occupy a lofty standing in the Premier League table.
They led the way for a brief period over the weekend, before arch-rivals Manchester United returned to the summit on Sunday, and Tevez insists there is a growing belief around Eastlands that the club can land the title.
"We are on the right tracks and we are growing every day. This is not the same team as two or three years ago, it is much stronger. If we continue to play and win as a team all the results will come in our favour.
"The more games we win the more we are starting to believe that we can win the championship. What I think and what I dream is to make history for this club. It has been a long time for this club not to win a title and my dream is to change that. It is what we are all trying to achieve."
