Soccer FA Cup – Bolton 0 Stoke 5:Stoke roared into their first FA Cup final after producing arguably the greatest performance in their history to crush Bolton 5-0 at Wembley.
The Potters produced a thrilling display of attacking football to become the first team for 72 years to win a semi-final by a five-goal margin.
Matthew Etherington, Robert Huth, Kenwyne Jones and Jonathan Walters (two) all found the back of the net against a Bolton side who simply fell to pieces trying to reach the final three months after the death of the legendary Nat Lofthouse.
The Potters will now face Manchester City in the final on May 14th.
Walters paid tribute to his team-mates. "We wanted to achieve something this year,” he said. “It was a tough game but we did really well from back to front. I'm made up to be quite honest.
"It's been very hard over the years but a lot of people have helped me along the way."
Defender Andy Wilkinson, who is from Stoke, added: "Words can't describe it. It's unbelievable. The fans have been great, it's like a home game for us.
"I'm a bit emotional, I'm going to enjoy it and then focus on the final."
