The visitors were the dominant side at the Showgrounds and deserving winners on the night.
Two goals either side of half-time proved the difference. Ronan Finn scored the opener on 27 minutes after picking up the ball before blasting a long range effort past Brendan Clarke and leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
On the hour mark Karl Sheppard doubled the advantage after heading home a Pat O'Sullivan cross.
