The Republic of Ireland will return to the Stade de France stadium to face France in an international friendly game this summer.
Martin O’Neill’s team will provide World Cup warm-up opposition for Didier Deschamps’ squad on Monday, May 28th - two and a half weeks before the tournament kicks off in Russia.
The friendly will be the 17th meeting between France and Ireland at men’s senior level and the first since the last-16 clash in Lyon at Euro 2016, which France won before going all the way to the final.
Ireland have a good record in Paris with a 2-0 win in 1937, a 1-1 draw in 1973, and a 0-0 draw in 2004 - although there have also been three defeats since that very first game.

This friendly encounter is one of a number of games being organised in advance of the Uefa Nations League, which kicks off in September and the draw for that tournament takes place on January 24th.
