International soccer: Rangers trio Barry Ferguson, Lee McCulloch and Christian Dailly have withdrawn from the Scotland squad for Wednesday's friendly against Croatia.
Ferguson saw a specialist in England last week with an ankle problem which has been troubling him for several weeks.
An injection saw him through the Scottish Premier League win over Hibernian on Saturday but he will play no part in the game at Hampden.
McCulloch also misses out after a thigh injury flared up following the weekend action, while an X-ray has revealed Dailly is suffering from a broken toe.
All three will now receive treatment at Murray Park and are expected to be fit in time for this weekend's Old Firm derby, according to the club's official website.
Goalkeeper Allan McGregor and striker Kris Boyd remain in the national team squad as George Burley prepares to make his debut as Scotland manager.
Meanwhile, Juventus striker David Trezeguet's hopes of making France's Euro 2008 squad have been reignited after coach Raymond Domenech called him into the squad for the friendly against England.
Trezeguet's last game for Les Bleus was a defeat to Scotland in September and he had all but given up playing for France again after he was left out of the 39-man squad to face Mali on Tuesday and England 24 hours later.
But Karim Benzema withdrew after suffering a knee injury in Lyon's victory over Paris St Germain on Sunday, opening the door for Trezeguet.
Trezeguet — who has 70 caps to his name — scored the goal which won Euro 2000 for France and was also part of the 1998 World Cup-winning squad.
The 30-year-old is Juve's top scorer in Serie A this season with 17 goals in 28 appearances — including the winner in Sunday's 2-1 victory at Inter.
