Former Rangers manager Paul Le Guen has been appointed manager of Paris St Germain, replacing Guy Lacombe less than two weeks after leaving the Glasgow club.

Le Guen is a former PSG player who left the Ibrox side by mutual consent last week. He endured a miserable spell in Glasgow but enjoyed great success at Lyon, leading the club to three successive Ligue 1 titles.

He replaces Lacombe who has left with PSG languishing in 17th position in the Ligue 1 table, just one place and two points above the relegation zone.
