Jordan Nolan levels matters for Tolka

Corinthians still in the mix after gutsy display

The FAI Ford Cup dream of gutsy College Corinthians is firmly alive despite a Jordan Nolan leveller after 70 minutes at Frank Cooke Park. Corinthians travelled from Cork with just 14 players and they trailed after just five minutes.

Although Rory O’Neill managed to save Paul Ryan’s fiercely struck effort from 10 yards, Darren Doyle fired home the rebound.

Ryan then hooked the ball over the head of the outrushing O’Neill, but the ball trickled wide after 17 minutes. Corinthians were level within two minutes after Richard Tobin rifled home a Jack French cross.

The visitors took a shock lead on 29 minutes when Rufus Holmes scrambled home a Gareth Cambridge assist. But Tolka drew level when Nolan netted on 70 minutes.
