Tottenham striker Robbie Keane returned to the starting XI for the FA Cup third-round replay against Cardiff at White Hart Lane.

The Republic of Ireland international was on the bench for the last two matches after recovering from a knee injury suffered at the start of December.

Jermain Defoe, who had started 10 of the last 11 Spurs games, was on the bench for the Premiership side.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Didier Zokora and Anthony Gardner were also back in the starting line-up for the hosts, while there was no place in the squad for centre-back Calum Davenport.

Cardiff, who had not won in 12 matches, were unchanged from the side that earned a goalless draw at Ninian Park. Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell was on the bench after starting at the weekend in the defeat to Southend.
