Blackburn manager Mark Hughes has signed a new contract which will keep him at Ewood Park until at least June 2010.

Blackburn manager Mark Hughes has signed a new contract which will keep him at Ewood Park until at least June 2010.

The former Wales boss has impressed since taking over at Rovers in September 2004 and has been rewarded with an extended deal which will be following by a 12-month rolling agreement.

Blackburn chairman John Williams said: "The club has made significant progress during Mark's tenure and we are delighted that he has signed this new contract."
