Marlon Harewood's extra time goal sent West Ham United into the FA Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday after a 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers in their fifth  round replay at Upton Park.

Harewood flicked in Yossi Benayoun's cross five minutes into the first extra period to book the east London side a visit to Premier League rivals Manchester City in the last eight.

West Ham took an early lead after Nicky Hunt’s clearance from Harewood’s cross rebounded off goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen and rolled back into his own net.

Kevin Davies levelled in the 31st minute when his swerving shot could only be helped into the net by keeper Shaka Hislop.

It was the sweetest revenge for Alan Pardew's side after suffering a 4-1 Premiership defeat to Bolton at the weekend.
