Celtic have completed the signing of Dubliner Willo Flood on a two-and-a-half-year contract. The midfielder opened talks with the Scottish champions less than 24 hours after his penalty miss helped send the club into the Co-operative Insurance Cup final at the expense of Dundee United.
Celtic agreed an undisclosed fee with Cardiff for the 23-year-old, who spent 18 months on loan at Tannadice.
The former Manchester City player moved from Cardiff to Tannadice in search of more first team action and his stock has risen dramatically since.
It culminated in an electric display against Celtic this week in which he was the stand-out player in the 0-0 draw before scoring the opening penalty of the shootout.
After just one miss for either side the youngster was called upon again but this time crashed his effort off the crossbar, handing Celtic an 11-10 win and winning over his new fans in one fell swoop.
