The FAI has extended its sponsorship deal with Umbro, an agreement which boosts the previous deal with the sportswear manufacturer by €5 million.
The new deal is expected to generate €16 million through to 2014 and possibly as much as €21 million. But that higher figure is dependent on the Republic of Ireland's future success at World Cup and European Championships.
Grassroots of the game also benefit with Umbro set to sponsor tournaments across many sectors of the non-senior game at junior, college/university, schools and schoolboy levels.
The minimum cash elements of these packages include: €700,000 for Kennedy Cup, €700,000 towards the Junior Cup, €175,000 for the Schools Cup and the same figure towards the Colleges/Universities league.
"I believe if we invest in the domestic game across all levels we'll give ourselves the opportunity to produce our best players who could be beneficiaries at the highest level for us," FAI chief executive John Delaney said.
