Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has rejoined Sunderland on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old Northern Ireland international has returned to the Black Cats, where he spent the second half of the club's Coca-Cola Championship title campaign last season.

Manager Roy Keane said: "Jonny did very well for us last year."

Evans was arrested and bailed last month in connection with an alleged rape at Manchester United's Christmas Party.
