Yaya Touré casts doubt on his future at Etihad Stadium

Manchester City midfielder has received ‘different offers’, says agent

Yaya Touré’s representative is to hold talks with Manchester City after confirming he has received “different offers” for the midfielder.

Touré's future at the Etihad Stadium was thrown into further doubt on Tuesday after he claimed he is open to "new challenges" in an interview with a website in France, while also hailing Paris Saint-Germain as "a great club".

The 31-year-old has had an inconsistent season during City's attempt to retain their Premier League title. Now his agent Dimitri Seluk has admitted he has requested a meeting with City to discuss whether Touré will be allowed to leave.

“We have had different offers for Yaya but we must speak to Manchester City,” Seluk told Sky Sports News HQ. “People think he will stay because of money but we don’t care about money. If Man City don’t want him – no problem.

“I want someone to say they want Yaya to stay at Manchester City. Yaya is a legend at the club. All the supporters like him, he’s helped them make history.”

Last summer, Seluk claimed Touré was considering leaving after City failed to wish him happy birthday at a club event in Abu Dhabi.

City declined to comment on the latest quotes from Seluk. Guardian Service
