Tottenham's 2-1 Premier League defeat to Chelsea on Sunday extended a miserable record at their temporary home while White Hart Lane is redeveloped.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have won only two of the 11 games they have played at English football’s headquarters since it was reopened in 2007.

Spurs needed the help of the woodwork to deny Cristiano Ronaldo a winner in normal time, but after extra-time had failed to produce a goal, Jamie O'Hara and David Bentley both failed from the spot to allow Anderson to clinch victory.

Extra-time was required once again to separate the north London club and Portsmouth, but Frederic Piquionne’s strike gave Pompey the edge and Kevin-Prince Boateng assured Pompey of a place in the final with a 117th-minute penalty.

John Terry gave Chelsea the lead on the stroke of half-time and the Blues never looked back as Kyle Walker's second-half own goal sent the trophy back to Stamford Bridge.

It proved an eventful first half at Wembley as the home side found themselves 2-0 down inside 31 minutes thanks to Bernardo Silva and Thomas Lemar, and although Toby Alderweireld reduced the deficit, there was no way back.
