Manchester City agree €20m deal with Roma for Edin Dzeko

Bosnian striker heading to Italy after falling down the pecking order

Manchester City have agreed a €20 million fee with AS Roma for Edin Dzeko, according to reports in Italy. The striker is understood to have already agreed personal terms with the Serie A club and will now travel to Italy to conclude a deal in the next 24 hours.

Dzeko moved to the Etihad Stadium from Wolfsburg four years ago for €39 million and scored 72 goals in 187 appearances for the club.

He signed a new four-year contract with City only last year, but only managed six goals last season and City have let him go after the Bosnian fell down the pecking order under Manuel Pellegrini.

The Chilean coach has already loaned out Stevan Jovetic to Inter Milan but has Sergio Aguero, Wilfried Bony plus new €70 million signing Raheem Sterling who can also play up front.
