Midfielder has yet to play this season due to hamstring injury

Darron Gibson could be set for his first appearance of the season for Everton in tomorrow's League Cup tie at Fulham.

The Republic of Ireland international has been out with a knee injury but manager Roberto Martinez now considers him fully fit.

Gibson has already made himself available to whoever succeeds Giovanni Trapattoni’s as Ireland manager after ending his self-imposed exile from international duty.

The 25-year-old said last week that he is “available to come back now” and could come into the equation for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Germany and Kazakhstan.
