Garvan to remain at Crystal Palace until summer of 2015

Irish midfielder rewarded with new deal at Selhurst Park

Midfielder Owen Garvan is set to show off his skills in the Premier League next season after agreeing a new deal to keep him at Crystal Palace until the summer of 2015.

The 25-year-old Dubliner played a key role for the Eagles in their promotion push, which culminated in an extra-time victory over Watford in the Championship play-off at Wembley on Monday.

Ex-Ipswich playmaker Garvan, who is a grandson of the late Con Martin Sr, played 84 minutes in the play-off in what was his 32nd appearance of the season.

Palace have also tied defender Peter Ramage to a similar deal . The former Newcastle and QPR centre half made 43 appearances last season and was an unused substitute in the play-off final.
