St Patrick's Athletic 0 Drogheda United 1: St Patrick's Athletic missed the opportunity make up ground on leaders Bohemians as Drogheda bounced back from their Champions League near-miss to claim the points at Richmond Park.

St Pat's may have bossed the match but United went away with the spoils thanks to a slightly fortuitous Paul Keegan free-kick shortly after the interval. The midfielder, on as a first-half substitute for the injured Shane Robinson, floated in a speculative shot which evaded Barry Ryan to sneak in at the near post.

The home side poured forward thereafter in search of an equaliser but were unable to break down a stubborn Drogheda defence and remain seven points adrift of Bohemians.
