Soccer:Paul Doolin has resigned as Cork City manager after less than 12 months in the job.
Doolin took over from Alan Mathews at the start of the year after the latter was dismissed in somewhat controversial circumstances.
“Following discussions between Paul Doolin and club management, it has been agreed that Mr Doolin will be leaving his position as manager of the first team,” read tonight's statement issued by the club.
The former UCD and Drogheda United boss guided the club to third in the league and a place in the Europa League in a season plagued by financial concerns for the club.
