England striker Peter Crouch has reached an agreement to join Tottenham, the London club have confirmed.

The 28-year-old is believed to have joined Spurs from Portsmouth in a deal worth €10.5 million, less than a week after turning down a €14 million offer from Sunderland.

Crouch had travelled to the north-east and agreed personal terms with the Black Cats, but the deal fell through after the forward indicated his desire to remain in the south.
