The five eircom League clubs involved in European competition next season have received their Uefa licences from the FAI's club licensing committee.

Title holders Drogheda United will be involved in the Champions League while runners-up St Patrick's Athletic and FAI Cup winners Cork City have both earned places in the Uefa Cup.

Bohemians will attempt to earn a place in the Uefa Cup through the Intertoto Cup while Derry City could yet also gain entry to the Uefa Cup if the Republic of Ireland is awarded a place via the Fair Play competition.
