Bohemians-Shelbourne not to replay

Bohemians and Shelbourne will not replay their controversial August fixture

Bohemians and Shelbourne will not replay their controversial August fixture. Arbitrator Michael Collins has ruled that the Eircom League's original decision in relation to match should stand.

Today's decision means the league's decision to deduct Bohemians three points for fielding an suspended player in the game stands.

Shelbourne had appealed this decision, believing they should instead have been awarded the three points or at least a replay.

An FAI Appeal Board subsequently decided the match be replayed in the interests of fair play but eircom League requested the FAI to refer the case to arbitration.
