Cork City regained top spot in the eircom League Premier Division with a 2-0 win over Longford Town at Flancare Park last night.

In-form Denis Behan scored both goals inside the opening 15 minutes to quickly kill off the contest.

The striker netted the opener when he followed up on Neale Fenn's strike which had been well saved by goalkeeper Mick Dempsey.

Then, just five minutes later, he bagged a second after cutting in off the wing and unleashing a fizzing shot which left Dempsey with no chance.
