SCHOOL'S RUGBY/King's Hospital ... 15 Wesley College ... 15: Wesley College scrum-half Peter Beirne got in for a late try to force a draw in the Leinster Schools Senior Plate final with King's Hospital at Donnybrook yesterday. The schools decided, under the rules, to share the trophy.
King's Hospital had an 8-7 interval lead but in the 50th minute Beirne nailed a 30-metre penalty before King's Hospital's out-half Keith Sothern put centre Killian Lett through for what looked like a crucial try until Beirne's intervention.
