Treviso 26 Ulster 43: Andrew Maxwell grabbed a hat-trick of tries as Ulster rounded off their Heineken Cup campaign with a convincing Pool Four win over Treviso today.

Left wing Maxwell claimed the opening try in the fourth minute and added two more as the visitors raced into a 21-0 lead after 35 minutes.

Treviso rallied and hooker Alvaro Tejeda claimed two tries before half-time which cut Ulster's lead to 21-14.

A try from Treviso full-back Brendan Williams had Ulster sweating but the Irish outfit responded with a brace of tries by centre Andrew Trimble.

Then a Paddy Wallace try ensured there was no way back for Treviso.

The home side did grab a fourth try through number eight Scott Palmer late on but it was too little too late.

Centre Paul Steinmetz converted five of Ulster's six tries and also landed a penalty for a 13-point haul. Fly-half Marius Goosen converted three of Treviso's four tries.
