Rugby:Joe Schmidt will use Aironi's visit to the RDS on Saturday to give Academy outhalf Noel Reid his first senior start for Leinster.
The 21-year-old is the only back for Ian Madigan available to Schmidt, with Jonny Sexton in New Zealand with Declan Kidney’s squad and Met Berquist out until the New Year with a knee injury.
He will partner Cillian Willis behind the scrum against the bottom side in the PRO12 as Leinster look to gain some momentum after two defeats in four so far this season.
Luke Fitzgerald will continue in the centre with Eoin O’Malley, meaning Isa Nacewa remains at fullback.
Up front, Steven Sykes will make his competitive debut in the secondrow alongside Ireland international Devin Toner, while Ciaran Ruddock joins his brother Rhys in the backrow for just his second appearance.
Jamie Hagan joins Richardt Strauss and Heinke van der Merwe in the frontrow.
Leinster are sixth having struggled for consistency in the early season. A win over Aironi would mean first consecutive victories of the new season after their 15-10 win over Scarlets in Llanelli last week.
Kick-off at the RDS is at 6pm. The game will not be televised.
