Glasgow 25 Edinburgh 20:Seventeen points from the boot of outhalf Dan Parks helped Glasgow grab revenge over their oldest rivals and move up to third in the Magners League table at Firhill.

The Warriors had been in the doldrums after their St Stephen's Day bashing at the hands of the Gunners, but Parks was in fine form, adding two drop goals to three penalties and a conversion of Graeme Morrison's try .

They may not have looked capable of cancelling out the 33-point deficit in the aggregate battle for the inter-city bragging rights. But they could not disguise their delight at the result when the final whistle sounded.
