Rugby:Ronan O'Gara will start for Munster against Cardiff Blues at The Arms Park tomorrow night (7.05pm), having come through training at University of Limerick unscathed.

The outhalf has not played since limping out of the Heineken Cup game against Racing Metro on October 13th and his return will see Ian Keatley switch to inside centre.

Captain Doug Howlett also returns to action having been rested last week when Zebre visited.

The Blues will be eager to make up for their insipid performance against Leinster last week when they were beaten 59-22 at the RDS, but they have lost their last four encounters with Munster.

“It was clear for all to see that last weekend’s game against Leinster wasn’t a very positive night for us,” said director of rugby Phil Davies today, before promising his side will at least be “competitive” this week. “We all knew when we started in June that it would be a massive challenge.

“Looking at the game we have ahead of us, Munster, regardless of what 15 they put on the pitch they are going to be hard and uncompromising up-front.

“(Centre) Casey Laulala, is always a threat and is likely to start, but we are looking forward to facing him on our home ground.

“Both sides have got a new coaching group who are trying to develop and change. Supporters can look forward to a very competitive match, as it always is against Munster.”
