Munster have decided to appeal against the six-week suspension handed to Alan Quinlan after a stamping incident during the province's Heineken Cup win over Cardiff last Saturday.

The ERC confirmed today they received the appeal from Munster and now and independent appeal committee will deal with the case in January.
