Soccer: Kenny Miller has revealed his delight at being named Scotland captain for the first time for Wednesday night's Carling Nations Cup game against Northern Ireland in Dublin.

The Bursaspor striker, who will win his 52nd cap at the Aviva Stadium, is handed the honour in the absence of injured Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher.

Miller, 31, who has never captained any team before, will continue to be "bossy, moaning and demanding".

The former Rangers and Celtic player said: "It's a proud, proud moment in my career. It's a massive honour. To lead your country in any game is a dream for any kid starting out in football so I'm over the moon.
