Rugby:Munster coach Tony McGahan is set to announce tomorrow that he is leaving the province to take up a position as defence coach with his native Australia.
The Queenslander is believed to have informed senior players at the province of his departure, which will come at the end of the season.
McGahan was in line to receive a new two-year deal at Munster but it looks like the province will be recruiting a new head coach in the summer, with McGahan joining Robbie Deans’s Wallabies set-up.
McGahan was defensive coach when they won the Heineken Cup in 2006 and 2008, before leading them to two League titles in his four years as head coach.
