Ireland U19 5-33 South Africa U19:Ireland's under-19 Rugby World Cup journey came to an end this evening after they were comprehensively beaten 33-5 by South Africa at Ravenhill.

The truth is the hosts didn't have an answer against their more physical opponents.   Frederick Kirsten and Vainon Willis both touched down to give the Springboks a 14-0 lead at half-time.

Stefan Watermeyer and Tsheip Masuga also touched down in the second period while Willis added his second try of the match.

The only plus for Ireland came with Paddy Brophy's unconverted try as South Africa secured their place in the semi-finals.
