Scotland 15 Stuart Hogg Age: 24 Height: 1.80m (5'11") Weight: 83kg (13st 1lb) Caps: 31 Tries: 9 A potential match winner for Scotland. Ability to break out of the ordinary and really spook opposition defences. Related to George Best and it shows.

14 Dougie Fife Age: 24 Height: 1.88m (6'2") Weight: 95kg (14st 3lb) Caps: 5 Tries: 1 His first start for Scotland in Murrayfield, he can also play centre and has the physique and pace for both. Luke Fitzgerald will hold the aces in experience. 13 Mark Bennett Age: 22 Height: 1.83m (6'0") Weight: 81kg (12st 10lb) Caps: 6 Tries: 2 One of the young tyros in the team. Two successive tries against Italy and England. No Scot has scored in three successive championship games.

12 Matt Scott Age: 24 Height: 1.85m (6'1") Weight: 101kg (15st 2lb) Caps: 24 Tries: 3 Another of the under 25-year-olds fast-tracked into the squad. He earned his first cap after 18 matches for Edinburgh and came in for the stricken Alex Dunbar. 11 Tommy Seymour Age: 26 Height: 1.83m (6'0") Weight: 92kg (14st 6lb) Caps: 16 Tries: 6 Ulster let him go in 2011 but since 2013 his career has taken off and he's become one of Scotland's most dangerous backs with six tries from 16 caps.

10 Finn Russell Age: 22 Height: 1.83m (6'0") Weight: 80kg (12st 8lb) Caps: 8 Tries: 0 The best outhalf they've had since Gregor Townsend, Russell plays what's in front of him. Inexperienced but creative and instinctive with the ball.

9 Greig Laidlaw Age: 29 Height: 1.75m (5'9") Weight: 80kg (12st 8lb) Caps: 29 Tries: 3 Always busy with his outhalf background sometimes coming out as he makes the plays. Important and consistent kicker he's third on Scotland's all-time list. 1 Ryan Grant Age: 29 Height: 1.83m (6'0") Weight: 109kg (17st 2lb) Caps: 21 Tries: 0 One of the changes made by Vern Cotter with Mike Ross in mind. He played throughout the 2014 campaign but was five months out with injury.

5 Jonny Gray Age: 21 Height: 1.98m (6'6") Weight: 121kg (19st 0lb) Caps: 12 Tries: 1 The younger of the brothers has a huge work rate and like Richie is athletic and a great ball carrier. He has started in Scotland's last seven Tests.

6 Adam Ashe Age: 21 Height: 1.93m (6'4") Weight: 100kg (15st 10lb) Caps: 10 Tries: 1 One of Vern Cotter's changes, the former Scotland Sevens player has excellent mobility and is one to watch. Capped after just two club games for Glasgow.

7 Blair Cowan Age: 28 Height: 1.88m (6'2") Weight: 106kg (16st 9lb) Caps: 10 Tries: 1 New Zealand born he qualified to play for Scotland through his mother and made his debut just last June. But has held the shirt and has a nose for tries.

8 David Denton Age: 25 Height: 1.95m (6'5") Weight: 114kg (17st 13lb) Caps: 24 Tries: 0 Zimbabwe born player started against England in round four and held the shirt. Another mobile, aggressive backrow with a strong background in Sevens rugby.
