Rugby – team news:The Ireland management remains hopeful the injured trio of Jamie Heaslip, Stephen Ferris and Andrew Trimble will be available for selection against France on Sunday, but Tommy Bowe won't be involved in the second game of the 2011 Six Nations.

Number eight Heaslip has “made progress” in his recuperation from an ankle injury and is thought to have the best chance of recovering in time for the match at the Aviva Stadium on Lansdowne Road, though neither Trimble (hand) nor Ferris (knee) have been ruled out.

Declan Kidney and his management team have “no further injury concerns to report” after last Saturday's narrow 13-11 win over Italy in Rome.

Bowe, however, is not among the 11 additions made to the 22-man squad today, as he continues his rehabilitation from a knee injury.

Also called into the squad were forwards Brett Wilkinson, Mick O'Driscoll, Donnacha Ryan and Mike McCarthy, along with backs Nevin Spence, Johne Murphy, Denis Hurley and Gavin Duffy.

France coach Marc Lievremont has a few concerns of his own as the defending champions look to build on an opening win over Scotland.

The impressive performance was tempered somewhat by the loss of Maxime Mermoz with a serious shoulder injury, while David Skrela, who missed the game with a calf strain, has again been ruled out.

The Toulouse outhalf is not now expected to return until the final round of games on March 19th.

Mermoz, who could be out for as long as three months, was yesterday replaced in the squad by Yannick Jauzion.
