Rugby:Ulster coach Brian McLaughlin has yet to discover whether Chris Henry and Paul Marshall will be available for Saturday's Heineken Cup semi-final against Edinburgh, but concerns over Pedrie Wannenburg and Paddy Wallace have eased.
All four were included in an extended squad named by the province this afternoon but the fitness of Henry and Marshall will be closely monitored until late in the week when a final decision on their involvement will be taken.
Henry is battling to be fit as he tries to recover from an ankle sprain sustained against Leinster last weekend while scrumhalf Marshall has an elbow problem. Henry, man-of-the-match against Munster in the quarter-finals, was limited to some light running on a treadmill today but Marshall was able to take some part in training with the rest of the squad.
Jared Payne, Tim Barker (back) and Simon Danielli remain on the injured list while All Black prop John Afoa will miss the match through suspension.
“The Ulster management team will have a near full strength squad to choose from as Pedrie Wannenburg (groin) and Paddy Wallace (illness) are likely to be available despite also being forced off during the Leinster game,” the province confirmed in a statement.
